Through our Privacy Policy, we would like to explain in the following sections which person-related data we collect from you.

Insofar as personal data, e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses are collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis, if possible. This data will not be transmitted to a third party without your express permission.

If you want to order the prime News newsletter offered through the website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information that enables us to check whether you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and whether you are in agreement with receiving the newsletter. No further data are collected. These data are used solely for the despatch of the requested newsletter.

You can rescind your consent for the storage of the data, the e-mail address and the their use for the despatch of the newsletter at any time, through the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.

cc)    Career opportunities

We will store your data for future use unless you advise us to the contrary.

2. Information about your computer, Cookies

When you visit our Internet pages, information that your browser automatically sends to us is collected and stored in so-called Server log files, for system reasons. These are:

  • Browser type / Browser version

  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Timepoint of the server query

These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. These data are not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check these retrospectively if we become aware of concrete evidence of an illegal usage.

b)    Cookies
The Internet pages use, in part, so-called Cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and contain no viruses. Cookies serve the purpose of making our offering more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are data sets that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.

Most of the Cookies that we use are so-called “Session Cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other Cookies remain on your device until you delete them. These Cookies enable us to recognise your computer the next time you visit us.

You can modify your browser settings so you are informed when Cookies are sent, allowing you to decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept them or not. You can also effectively exclude the acceptance of Cookies or you can activate a function that automatically deletes Cookies when you close your browser.

Among other things, tools from companies based in the USA are integrated on the Internet pages (e.g. ClickDimensions - see below for more companies and information). If these tools are active, personal data (e.g. your IP address) may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies, which is associated with corresponding risks, e.g. data access for control and monitoring purposes by US authorities. With your consent, you also agree to the processing of your data in the USA.

c)  HubSpot

Our website uses HubSpot, a marketing automation platform provided by HubSpot, Inc. HubSpot helps us to better understand user engagement with our content, track customer interactions, and improve our communication efforts. HubSpot collects data such as IP addresses, browsing activity, and contact information when you voluntarily provide it through forms on our website. The data is used solely for improving our services and communications with you. You can review HubSpot's own privacy policy here. All data collected is processed in compliance with GDPR requirements.

d) Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 on our website on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, a web analytics service provided by "Google". Google is a group of companies consisting of Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and other affiliated companies of Google LLC. We have concluded an order processing contract with Google.

We use Google Analytics to measure and analyse the use of our website via pseudonymised usage profiles. The usage profiles do not contain their name, address or email address, but only a pseudonymised user identification number that is assigned to their end device (such as a PC, laptop or smartphone). To identify the end devices, Google Analytics 4 uses, among other things, cookies, i.e. data records that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

These pseudonymised usage profiles enable us to collect analytical information about users and their behaviour, such as

  • which contents users call up within individual or several usage processes;
  • when and for how long users use the offers on our website;
  • which search terms users use;
  • how users interact with the offers on our website and
  • technical information on the end device and browser (such as browser type, browser version, operating system used, etc.).

The IP address itself is not logged but is shortened by the last two digits for processing. Via the shortened IP address, Google Analytics collects 4 geographical location data on the following metadata of the user or the end device: city, latitude and longitude of the city, continent, country, region and subcontinent.

On our behalf, Google will use the information collected to analyse your usage for us, compile reports on website activity and derive forecasts from existing data. In this way, we can better understand your user behaviour and better adapt our web offers (Google Ads Remarketing) to your needs.

Google receives and processes all user data via domains and servers within the EU. The shortening of the IP address of EU citizens also takes place on servers within the EU.

The data is deleted after 14 months. It is not excluded that Google also uses the data for its own purposes, such as profiling, and links it to other data, such as Google accounts.

If you have not consented to the use of Google Analytics, we do not use Google Analytics. You can revoke your consent at any time in the cookie banner with effect for the future.

You can also prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser accordingly. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of our websites to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

e) Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager from Google. Google Tag Manager is an auxiliary service and processes personal data itself only for technically necessary purposes. The tool ensures that other components are loaded, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data.
Further information on Google Tag Manager can be found in Google's privacy policy.
Please note that American Secret Services could possibly gain access to personal data due to American laws, which are inevitably exchanged with Google due to the Internet Protocol when integrating this tool.

You can obtain further information directly from Google

f) Leadinfo

We use the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which recognizes visits of companies to our website based on IP addresses and shows us related publicly available information, such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies for providing transparency on how our visitors use our website and the tool processes domains from provided form inputs (e.g. “leadinfo.com”) to correlate IP addresses with companies and to enhance its services. For additional information, please visit www.leadinfo.com. On this page: www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out you have an opt-out option. In the event of an opt-out, your data will no longer be used by Leadinfo.

3.    Data security

We have appropriate security measures in place to protect information that we have collected from you against loss, destruction, publication or access by unauthorised third-parties and we are continually adapting these to meet  current developments. Please be aware however that there are inherent security risks in transmitting data, such as e-mails, via the Internet.

4.    Links to third-party Internet pages

We link to the Internet pages of third-party providers who are not connected to us. We point out explicitly that we have no influence on which data is collected and processed by these providers if you click on these links. As the data collection and processing by third parties is outside of our control, we cannot accept any liability for this. Please refer to the Privacy Policies of the corresponding providers for further information about the collection and processing of your data by these third parties.

5.    Consent, right of revocation, right of objection

Should we use your person-related data for a purpose requiring your consent in accordance with the statutory provisions, we shall in each case request your explicit permission and we shall log your consent in accordance with the statutory provisions for data protection. Permission that has been granted may be revoked at any time with effect for the future. A simple message sent to us is enough for the revocation of your consent. You can use the contact data given below under Article 9 for this purpose.

6.    Information, modification and deletion of your data

You have at all times the right to receive free-of-charge information about your stored person-related data, where it originated from and who received it and the purpose of the data processing as well as a right of correction, blocking or deletion of these data. For this purpose and for other questions about person-related data, you can contact us at any time through the address given under Article 9 below.
